Cartier, New and Old Bond Street

Firstplan has successfully advised Cartier on the refurbishment and improvement of their two existing stores on New and Old Bond Street, including obtaining consents for external alterations and new signage.

Design, conservation and listed building issues were of paramount importance in respect of both of these stores. Firstplan undertook detailed reviews of the Council’s relevant guidance in respect of Bond Street, and was able to work with architects and designers and negotiate with Council officers to ensure that the client’s objectives could be fulfilled as far as possible. This involved devising an effective planning strategy to allow more contentious design proposals to be pursued but ensuring that consents could be secured within restrictive timescales.
